The Program Steering Committee (PSC) of the Sindh Basic Education Program (SBEP) hold its 24th meeting on July 7 at Program management & Implementation Unit (PMIU) Karachi and reviewed the program progress. The Chairman PSC Mr. Ahmed Bakhsh Narejo, Secretary, School Education & Literacy Department, chaired the meeting. Mr. James Parys, Director USAID Sindh & Balochistan; Mr. Lila Ram, Education Specialist USAID participated in the meeting. 

Inauguration

Historic inauguration of New High School in Kamber-Shahdakot constructed under USAID. Kamber-Shahdakot – The USAID and Sindh government inaugurated a newly completed high school at Naseerabad, Kamber-Shahdakot, on 27th May 2021 for nearly 1,000 students in the area.

Recognition

In recognition of their services for the Sindh Basic Education Program, the Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy, Labor and Human Resource Mr. Saeed Ghani, accompanied by Sindh Education Secretary Mr. Ahmed Bakhsh Narejo; awarded shields to the following SBEP and CMP officers. 

Pir Jo Goth

The 68th SBEP School GHS Pir Jo Goth (out of 106), has been handed over to the Education Management Organization (EMO) HANDS today on 29th April 2021, in a small ceremony held at the multipurpose hall of the school.

The PMIU team visited the GHS Phakka

The PMIU team visited the GHS Phakka, District Dadu, to review the construction progress of the school. The team found the progress work up to the mark and shows satisfaction on work pace.

The PMIU team along with the consultant

The PMIU team along with the consultant (M/s Halcrow, Pakistan) have visited the under-construction schools in District Qambar-Shahdadkot on 08-04-2021, to observe the construction progress and the contractor has been instructed to take concrete measures to increase the progress as per target. Following schools were visited: GHS Noor Muhammad Supro, GHS Khairo Gadhi, and GHS Meeran Machi.
