SBEP Schools in Jacobabad

The Program Director, PMIU SBEP, Syed Attaullah Shah Bukhari visited under construction schools in Jacobabad. The government of Sindh through SE&LD and with the financial support of USAID is constructing state-of-the-art school buildings in Sindh. Out of these schools, 13 schools are to be constructed in District Jacobabad.


Karachi, April 12, 2022: The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Node of the School Education & Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh (GoS), organized a Pre-Bid Meeting for the prospective bidders with respect to the seventh procurement cycle under Sindh Basic Education Program’s (SEBP) Education Management Organization (EMO) Reform initiative.

SBEP hands over more schools to the EMOs

On 11th April 2022, the SBEP team hands over 4 more schools of QSK District which includes, GHS Thoof Chausool, GHS, Aitbar Khan Chandio, GHS Bhambho Khan Chandio, and GHS Walidad Mugheri.

SBEP School Handing Over Ceremony

March 25, 2022, SCMP with the collaboration of PMIU organized the handing over ceremony of the State-of-the-Art school building of GHS Sindhi Jamat Cooperative Housing Society Bin Qasim town district Malir Karachi. Program Director, Sindh Basic Education Program (SBEP) PMIU Attaullah Shah Bukhari graced the ceremony as chief guest. 

Sindhi Jamait Inauguration

Karachi – U.S. Consul General Mark Stroh and Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah inaugurated a new high school building in Karachi constructed through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Sindh Basic Education Program (SBEP).

The USAID Deputy Mission Director

The USAID Deputy Mission Director, Mr. David Young’s along with Director USAID for Sindh Balochistan Mr. Andrew Rebold accompanied by Mr. Lila Ram, Project Management Specialist (Education)-USAID visited the Project Management & Implementation Unit (PMIU) of Sindh Basic Education Program today 17th November 2021. Worthy Secretary School Education & Literacy Department, Mr. Ghulam Akbar Laghari welcomed the guests. He also provided an overview of the program. The PMIU team apprised the delegation about the program progress, best practices, lessons learned, and the way forward. The meeting concluded with a note of appreciation by the USAID and a vote of thanks by the worthy Secretary SE&LD.
